Actress Park Sol-mi of the “All In” fame will return to TV screen for her first acting role in three years. She is to star in weekend drama series “My Woman” due to air in July. She will play a talented and multilingual career woman named Sera. The main character Sera is an ambitious woman, who betrays her long-time boyfriend in order to attain the riches and enter high society.

Park’s last regular appearance on TV was in KBS drama “Golden Apple” in 2005. Since then she has starred in the 2007 film “Paradise Murdered” opposite Park Hae-il. She said that it took her a long time to come back to TV, because she took care to select a role that fit her best. Park thanked her fans for waiting patiently during the hiatus and added that the character Sera was very appealing, because Sera has both the bright and dark sides to her personality.

“My Woman” is a remake of “Terminal,” a high-rating drama during the 1980s. The new version will be written by Lee Hii-woo and Sun Kyung-hee and directed by esteemed producer Lee Kwan-hee.

6/4/08 – Song Seung Hun, Yun Jung Hoon, Lee Da Hae, Han Ji Hye, and Lee Yun Hee will lead the 50-episode Monday-Tuesday drama “East of Eden (에덴의 동쪽)” scheduled to be aired by MBC in August, following the final episode of “Every Night”.

This drama portrays the destiny and revenge of two men who were born at the same time and on the same day in the same hospital located in a coal mine village. The time frame is between 1960 and 2000.

YJH plays the prosecutor Dong Wook (동욱) whose fate has been reversed. SSH plays the role Dong Chul (동철). LDH plays the role Hye Rin (혜린) who is very ambitious to become the successor of a news agency. Hye Rin, Dong Chul, and Dong Wook form triangle love relationships.

Han Ji Hye Plays the role Ji Hyun (지현) who is the first love of three men Dong Chul, Dong Wook and Myung Hoon (명훈) played by actor Park Hae Jin (박해진).

Lee Yun Hee (이연희) plays the role Gook Young Ran (국영란) who is the daughter of a casino owner and has positive personality.

The PD is Kim Jin Man (김진만) whose previous drama was “Really Really Like You”, and the script writer is Na Yun Sook (나연숙). The production cost is around 25 billion Won. The filming sites include Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, China, and Macau.

Kim Myung Min will be playing Kang Ma E 강마에, an orchestra conductor in his 40′s. His character is an elite conductor with a very bad reputation, and who will do absolutely anything in order to create the very best music. But due to his self-righteous and stubborn personality that makes him think only his thoughts are correct, he is unable to form good relationships with those around him. Also, he is an elite conductor who insists that classical music is made for nobility only.

Ma E is a ‘workaholic’ and has a very troublesome personality, and thus seems similar to the character of Jang Joon Hyuk in the drama “White Tower”. Kim Myung Min has gotten the opportunity to harden his acting skills by playing another unique character. “Beethoven Virus” draws the story of people who’ve been abandoned by music, and have abandoned music themselves, and who create an orchestra and encounter many difficulties. This story will concentrate on classical music, and thus brings to mind the popular Japanese manga “Nodame Cantabile”.

The script is by the Hong Jin Ah-Hong Ja Ram sisters, who wrote “Taereung National Village” and “Over the Rainbow”, and the PD is Lee Jae Gyu, who directed “Damo” and “Fashion 70s”.

The 50 esp SBS drama “Marrying The Mafia /Family Honor ” will be replacing First Wives Club in September and the three actors will be siblings in the new drama .

Family Honor is the story about the members of an reputatable family , though they might have flaws but each of them try to uphold the spirit of their family name .

Jeon No-min plays the role of Ha Soo Young who is the elderest grandson of the Ha Family and though young has already proved himself to be more capable then his father. At the age of 20 , he married with a daughter of a reputable family . He is not used to express his own feelings and will always follow the wishes of the elders in the family . But now he is facing his life most dangerous crisis.

Kim Sung-min plays the role of Ha Tae Young who is the twin brother of Soo Young born 10 minute later . They are fraternal twins and hence they do not look identical and also possess different personalities. He is one who had been through alot of difficulties in his life.

yoon Jung Hee who received great popularity from last year drama “Blissful Woman” , is back as Ha Dan-ah , a beautiful and capable woman in her 30s. She is the elderest granddaughter of the Ha Family and who lost her husband to a traffic accident when they were on their honeymoon trip . she has a sorrowful relationship with a man who is younger then her , Lee Kang Suk who share similar personalities and appearance with her husband .Jung Hyun-kyoo a son of a rich family is also in love with her .

Hyun Bin & Song Hye-kyo to Star in New KBS Drama “The World They Live In”

[Seoul=Yonhap] On the 6th, production company YEG announced that Hyun Bin and Song Hye-kyo will lead KBS 2TV’s Monday/Tuesday drama “The World They Live In” this November. They will play drama PDs.

Song Hye-kyo will work with PD Pyo Min-soo again, their last collaboration was “Full House” from 4 years ago. In this drama, she will play Joo Joon-young (주준영) who is direct and confident; she will show viewers the matured attractiveness/charm of a career woman.

In addition, Hyun Bin will also return from a 2-year hiatus; his last TV appearance was KBS 2TV drama “Snow Queen”. He will play drama PD Jung Ji-oh (정지오); he will show viewers a tender yet strong charisma.

Using television as its backdrop, this drama will depict the process of television drama production. Writer Noh Hee-Kyung will be working with PD Pyo Min-soo again, they are the team behind “Lie 거짓말” (1998, KBS), “Foolish Love 바보같은사랑” (1999, KBS 2TV), and “Solitude 고독” (2002, KBS 2TV).
